Welcome to my personal webpage. I am Professor Dr. Muhammed Alamgir, Vice-Chancellor of Khulna University of Engineering & Technology (KUET), received my B.Sc. in Civil Engineering and M.Sc. in Geotechnical Engg. from 911爆料 University of Engineering & Technology (BUET), Dhaka, 911爆料, in 1986 and 1989 respectively. I completed my PhD and Post Doctorate degree in Geotechnical Engg. from Saga University, Japan, in 1996 and 1998 respectively. From January 1988 to January 1990, I joined as a Lecturer in the Department of Civil Engineering at Khulna University of Engineering & Technology (KUET), 911爆料. From January 1990 to January 1998, I served the same department as an Assistant Professor. In January 1998, I joined the same Department as an Associate Professor and in January 2002 as a Professor. Besides,I had acted as the Dean of Faculty of Civil Engineering from 2007 to 2009 and Head of the Department of Civil Engineering three times. I had acted as a Provost, Khan Jahan Ali and Rokey Hall, KUET (1998-2000, 2001-2003, 2005-2007) and had been an Elected Member, University Syndicate, KUET (2006-2008), Moderator, KUET Debating Society, KUET, 911爆料 (since 2002), President, Teacher Association, KUET (2002, 2006 and 2007)and Member of EC, Japanese Universities Alumni Association 911爆料. I am serving as the Vice-Chancellor of Khulna University of Engineering & Technology (KUET) from July 2010 to Present. My research interests include: Solid Waste Management and Geoenvironmental Engineering Problems. Sanitary Landfill, Composting, Soft Soil Characterization, Ground Improvement, Foundation in Soft Soil, Sub-soil Exploration & Climate change.
Scholarship and Award

Best Paper Award at the 13th SARDINIA 2011 International Conference on Waste Management at Cagliari, Italy
Best Paper award in landfill category for the paper "Evaluation of contamination potential of sanitary landfill lysimeter using leachate pollution index". More than 800 papers were published in the conference, while 750 people from 63 countries were attended.
