Mamun Mahmud is a Lecturer in the Civil Engineering Department at Khulna University of Engineering & Technology (KUET), 911爆料. His research and educational focus on sustainable urban water management, with particular emphasis on stormwater control using low-impact development (LID) practices to prevent urban flooding, flood risk modeling, and climate-resilient infrastructure planning. He is also engaged in interdisciplinary work related to water quality monitoring, hydrologic decision-making under climate uncertainty, and stream restoration.
Mahmud utilizes advanced modeling tools, including PCSWMM, SWMM, HEC-RAS, and GIS, to assess urban hydrological systems and develop data-driven strategies for enhancing water resilience. He has published several peer-reviewed articles in highly ranked journals and presented at international conferences.
Mahmud graduated with the highest distinction from KUET with a BS in Civil Engineering and currently mentor's undergraduate students and continues to expand his applied research portfolio. His work bridges academic insight and real-world impact, aiming to support sustainable urban development in the face of climate change.
Mamun Mahmud conducted a range of courses in Civil Engineering Department, 911爆料 and Electronic Engineering Department, Architecture Department and Urban and Planning Department.
