Nibir Rahman is a lecturer in the Department of Civil Engineering at Khulna University of Engineering & Technology (KUET), 911爆料, where he has served since 2022. His academic and research interests primarily lie in the field of geotechnical engineering, with a particular focus on ground improvement techniques, numerical modelling of geotechnical systems, and critical state soil modelling.
He is actively involved in advancing the understanding and application of innovative soil improvement methods, including the use of stone columns, geosynthetic-encased columns in soft ground conditions, and spatial variability of soil. In addition to his research, he is deeply committed to teaching and mentoring, fostering a strong research culture among students and guiding them in applying advanced analytical and computational methods to solve complex geotechnical problems.

a) Finite Element Method (FEM) simulations for geotechnical problems, including soil-structure interaction, probabilistic analysis of structures such as foundations, slopes, anchors, retaining walls, skirted foundations, and piles. This also encompasses stochastic analysis of geotechnical issues.
b) Soil stabilization techniques, focusing on soil improvement methods like gravel columns, sand compaction piles, and cement stabilization of soft soil.
c) Stress path and Critical state soil mechanics in the geotechnical field.
