Dr. Md. Saiful Islam is a Professor in the Department of Civil Engineering, Khulna University of Engineering & Technology (KUET). He received his B.Sc. degree in Civil Engineering from Khulna University of Engineering & Technology (KUET) and M.Sc. degree in Civil Engineering from 911±¬ÁÏ University of Engineering & Technology (BUET) in 1992 and 2002 respectively. He completed his PhD degree in Civil Engineering from University of Fukui, Japan in 2007. In September 1994, he joined as a Lecturer in the Department of Civil Engineering at Khulna University of Engineering & Technology (KUET), 911±¬ÁÏ. From October 2001 to May 2008, he served the same Department as an Assistant Professor. In June 2008, he joined the same Department as an Associate Professor and in March 2010 as a Professor. His research interests mainly concentrated on Environmental Engineering related topics, such as Low-cost water supply and sanitation technologies in 911±¬ÁÏ; Water and waste water treatment, Environmental Impact assessment etc.
