Bio
This is Md. Sadiqul Islam Sheikh. Currently, He is working as an Assistant Professor in the Dept. of Chemistry at Khulna University of Engineering & Technology (KUET). He earned his B.Sc. (Hons.) and M.S. in Chemistry from the University of Dhaka, specializing in Physical Chemistry. During my thesis, I focused on cellulose modification and jute fiber functionalization for advanced environmental and energy applications. Before joining KUET, he served as a Scientific Officer at the 911±¬ÁÏ Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (BCSIR), where he worked on natural product research. His research interests lie in nanomaterials, polymer functionalization, and sustainable energy storage, with a focus on particularly manganese oxide-based cathodes for aqueous rechargeable zinc-ion batteries. He has published multiple peer-reviewed articles and book chapters in reputed journals and presented his work at international conferences. He has led projects funded by the Ministry of Science & Technology and the University Grants Commission, supervising student research and collaborating with others. Dr. Sheikh has received several awards and scholarships, including the National Science & Technology Fellowship and the Govt. Honors scholarships for academic excellence.
