Instruction to Authors

The Journal Engineering Science (JES) Guidelines for Authors

Authors: Only papers that have not been published elsewhere are considered.Authors must follow the The Journal Engineering Science (JES) Guidelines for Authors when submitting papers. Only individual persons but not company or organization can be author(s). As JES consists mainly of personal members, authors are required to submit their papers in their personal names. Once the paper is submitted, the name of authors cannot be changed, added or deleted.

Deadline: No deadline for paper submission is specified.

Papers Submission: The paper is to be submitted through E-mail to the Chief/Executive Editor and also E-mail of the journal.

E-mail of Chief Editor : [email protected]

E-mail of Executive Editor : [email protected]

E-mail of Journal : [email protected]

Purpose of Reviewing: The submitted paper is peer-reviewed to judge its quality for the journal JES. The Editorial Bored may ask authors to make revisions of the paper to satisfy the requirement. It should be noted, however, that the author is inherently responsible for the quality of the published paper.

Reviewer: The Editorial Board assigns three reviewers expertise in the relevant areas for each paper based on the contents.

Judgment by Reviewer: Based on the evaluation and comparison with past published papers in elsewhere, the reviewer judges whether the paper is to be accepted or rejected. The reviewer should try to be accepted a paper that can contribute to the future academic/ technological development, even if it has some drawbacks. When the reviewer recommends rejection, reasons should be given according to the items mentioned in the prescribed format of Paper Review Report. The results of review are to be described and communicated to the author(s) in detail regardless of its acceptance or rejection.

Decision by Editorial Board: The Editorial Board judges if paper is to be accepted based on the reports by three reviewers. In principle, if two or more of the three reviewers recommend the acceptance, the paper will be accepted. If any reviewer requires a revision on the paper, the Editorial Board may request author to revise the paper. Editorial Board will review the revised paper to judge whether the author has given satisfactory revision and response to the comments by reviewer. The reviewer may be requested to re-review the paper for this purpose. The Editorial Board has responsibility in its final judgment, and notifies the decision promptly to the concerned.

Dead Line for Receiving Revised Manuscript: If the Editorial Board does not receive the revised manuscript and/or communication from the author within 16 weeks after the request of revision, the paper is treated as rejected.

The following instruction should be followed at the time of submission of a Manuscript

(i) All manuscripts must be written in English.

(ii) The manuscript of Full paper should be limited within 24 type written pages (double spaced) including tables, figures, graphs, etc. The title page should contain title, author(s) name, address(es), abstract, and Keywords. The main Text should start on a new page. All pages should be numbered. The paper should be divided into sections starting preferably with Introduction and ending with Conclusions.

(iii) Rapid communication is devoted to the announcement of timely and important results. While that a short communication should not exceed 4 pages. This should follow the same style and format as the full paper except that they need not be divided into sections.

(iv) Manuscript should be send in doc and pdf file.

Title: The title of the paper should be brief and specific. The authors should prepare the manuscripts in such a way that there should be a title page with only the names of the authors and their address. The second page should carry the title of the paper with Abstract to be followed by introduction etc.

Abstract: An abstract of less than 150 words is required. It should include only the gist of the paper. Abstract is not the summary and in no case it should contain the subject of the Materials and Methods, and/or any descriptive part of the paper.

Text: The authors should pay attention to the language, logical presentation, enumeration of assumption made, justifications of approximation made etc and all the limitation must be stated wherever or necessary. Moreover, a paper must be self contained, its presentation being class and satisfactory.

Tables, Graphs and Figures: The paper should contain minimum number of tables, graphs and figures. Each figure must be referred to in the text, be numbered and have a caption. The same data should not be used both for the tables and for the graphs and figures. The appropriate place of the figure should be indicated in the margin of the text. Axes of the figures must be labeled properly.

Formulae: Displayed formula should be numbered and typed unambiguously, vectors, special symbols, subscript and superscripts, etc. should be identified with proper signs in the manuscript. Long equations should be avoided as much as possible, by introduction of suitable abbreviations of component expressions.

Reference: All reference should be arranged at the end of the text according to alphabetical order of the authors last name and followed by the year, title of the paper, abbreviated name of the Journal, volume number and after colon page number for example.

The references should be cited containing the names of all authors (et al. is not allowed).

Nomenclature, abbreviation and symbols, etc. are confined in International standard.
