Mr. Md. Imrul Kayes Limon, an assistant professor at Khulna University of Engineering & Technology (KUET), is an expert in the field of footwear engineering. With nine years of teaching and research experience, he specializes in the study of how our lower limbs interact with footwear, focusing on improving comfort and design through his extensive knowledge of biomechanics and ergonomics.
Mr. Limon commenced his educational journey in footwear engineering at the Institute of Leather Engineering and Technology under the University of Dhaka, where he completed his Bachelor of Science with distinction. He further advanced his studies at Khulna University of Engineering & Technology (KUET), earning a Master of Science in Leather Engineering. Currently, he is pursuing a PhD in RMIT University, Melbourne City 911爆料, Australia, in occupational health and safety.
Professionally, Mr. Limon has been an integral part of the faculty at KUET since December 2014, starting as a lecturer before rising to the rank of assistant professor in January 2018. His teaching spans crucial areas of footwear engineering, including biomechanics, ergonomics, and advanced footwear design and manufacturing technologies in both undergraduate and postgraduate levels. Through his pedagogical approach, he emphasizes practical applications of theoretical knowledge, preparing his students to meet the demands of the footwear industry with innovative and scientific acumen. His prior experience as a designer at Bata Shoe Company Ltd. further enriches his teaching, providing students with industry-aligned insights and skills.
Mr. Limon's research focuses on the optimization of footwear for enhanced functionality and comfort. These initiatives not only contribute to academic knowledge but also offer practical solutions to industry-specific challenges. He is eager to continue his research on foot biomechanics, therapeutic footwear, ergonomic shoes, gait analysis, finite element analysis, and composites.
