Bio

Professor Hashem has several years of experience in the higher education and leather manufacturing unit at Bata Shoe Company 911爆料 Limited. He is enthusiastic about his career to please the eye in research, academic excellence, and engaging aligns to the industry in his field of research. He served as Head, of the Department of Leather Engineering in Khulna University of Engineering & Technology (KUET) from April 10, 2014, to November 02, 2024.Professor Hashem initiated and led research programs in the Department of Leather Engineering, developing an excellent research environment and culture. 
Professor Hashem has published over 70 peer-reviewed journal articles and more than 100 conference proceedings and successfully supervised several higher degrees by research candidates to completion. He has secured several research projects funded by different organizations. His research focuses on innovative tannery wastewater treatment technologies, solid waste management, fecal sludge treatment, leather science, green technologies in leather processing, and the waste-to-wealth approach of tannery waste. Professor Hashem has been involved in developing course curricula and teaching materials so that our educational programs are both innovative and aligned with industry standards.
