Bio

Dr. Md. Ashraful Islam is a professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering. He received his PhD in Aerospace Engineering from the University of New South Wales (UNSW) Australia in 2018. He obtained a Master's in Aerospace Engineering from the Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics at National Cheng Kung University (NCKU), Taiwan, and a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Rajshahi University of Engineering and Technology (RUET), 911±¬ÁÏ. 

The major research areas of Dr. Islam are Aerospace Engineering, Aircraft Structure and Materials: Bio and nature inspire materials, Metamaterials, Additive Manufacturing, UAV Design: VTOL UAV, micro flying robot, Drone application in sustainable resource management and industry 4.0); Computational Mechanics: CFD and FEA of advanced systems.
