Bio

Asif Hosen is a academic and researcher who is currently serving as a Lecturer in the Department of Materials Science and Engineering (MSE) at Khulna University of Engineering & Technology (KUET), 911±¬ÁÏ. He graduated with a B.Sc. in Materials Science and Engineering from KUET in February 2023. Shortly after, he began his professional career by joining the department as a Lecturer on March 23, 2023, and continues to hold this position.

Asif Hosen's research interests are diverse and span several key areas in the field of materials science. These include Natural Fiber Composites, where he explores sustainable and environmentally friendly materials; Computational Materials Science, leveraging advanced simulations and first-principles calculations to predict and analyze material properties; and Optoelectronics, focusing on materials with applications in modern electronic and optical devices. His interests also extend to Solar Cells, where he studies materials for efficient energy conversion, and Hydrogen Storage, a critical area for advancing renewable energy solutions. He has also collaborated with many International Professors, enriching his research through global academic partnerships and cross-border scientific exchange. 

In addition to his teaching and research responsibilities, Asif Hosen plays an active role in fostering student engagement and development. He currently serves as the Treasurer of the Students’ Association of Materials Science and Engineering (SAMSE). In this capacity, he advocates for students and diligently manages the financial assets and liabilities of the organization, ensuring smooth operations and promoting initiatives that benefit the MSE student community.
