Bio

Md. Nazmul Haque is a Muslim 911±¬ÁÏi citizen working at the Department of Urban and Regional Planning as an Assistant Professor at Khulna University of Engineering & Technology (KUET), 911±¬ÁÏ. Currently, he is pursuing the Ph.D. degree in Hiroshima University, Japan. Mr. Haque does research in Urban Planning, Environmental Management, Ecosystem Science, Sustainable Development, Geospatial tools etc. He published in refereed journals and international conferences regularly. So far, he published more than 25 Scopus/ Web of Science indexed articles and, from others, around 30 publications in refereed international journals, conference proceedings, and technical reports. His study seeks to improve sustainable, equitable, peaceful, and resilient societies. Basically, his core research area is about the "Ecosystem-based approaches" for achieving "SUSTAINABILITY".

  • The general objective of the assignment is to help the KMP to develop a conceptual Master Plan for Solar Light Installation in the Khulna City.
    specific objectives which are presented below.
    - First is to assess the need for installation of new solar light post in the city to increase the comfort, security and safety of the citizen of Khulna city;
    - Second to identify the locations where to install the new solar light posts to attain maximum efficiency with a minimum cost;
    - Third to develop a phase-wise plan for implementation of the Solar Streetlight Master Plan based on the priority.


  • This study aims to explore the scope of the principles and techniques to be considered in urban planning for building water resilient city using smart water management technologies.
    Objectives:
    i. To investigate the existing condition of waste generation, waste collection and transportation to the dumping point.
    ii. To observe the existing drainage condition
    iii. To present (by referring back to the DPP) the financial and economic viability of the project/project components.
    iv. To present sufficiently detailed yet concise accounting of the environmental/ecological impacts of the project/project components.
    v. To assess the need of logistical support of proper waste management
    vi. To suggested measure for long term sustainability of the project/project components.
