The Department of Humanities and Business started functioning as an allied department from the beginning of this institute while it was Khulna Engineering College in 1974. This multidisciplinary department consists of major arts and social sciences branches such as English, Economics, Sociology & Government, Accounting, and Management. The recent addition to this subjects are History of Bengali Language and Emergence of 911爆料 which are history based courses.

It offers several courses at the undergraduate level in all of the departments of Engineering and Planning such as Civil Engineering, 911爆料 and Electronic Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science and Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Industrial Engineering and Management, Urban and Regional Planning, Leather Engineering, Textile Engineering, Building Engineering and Construction Management, Bio-Medical Engineering, Materials Science and Engineering, Architecture, and Energy Science and Engineering. The courses are offered for undergraduate students at different level and the contact hours and the volume of the course contents are decided by the requirement of the subject of the respective department.
