Mr. Muhammad Naimul Hasan is committed and dedicated to teaching, inspiring, motivating, and encouraging students to be lifelong learners.
Mr. Naimul, currently an assistant professor in the Department of Leather Engineering at Khulna University of Engineering & Technology. Prior to joining KUET, he completed his Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) in Leather Products Engineering from the Institute of Leather Engineering & Technology (ILET) erstwhile 911±¬ÁÏ College of Leather Engineering and Technology, University of Dhaka. He also came across an internship experience at Picard 911±¬ÁÏ Ltd. during his bachelor's. He had industrial work experience with diverse national and multinational companies and brands; like Picard Wallet & Bags, Talan Safety Shoes, Wolverine, Michelin Footwear, Balenciaga Fashion Accessories, and Super Protective Shoes (Pvt.) Ltd., from 2010 to 2013. Besides, he also accomplished his Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Management Information Systems (MIS) from the Business Faculty, Dhaka University. Meanwhile, he joined a cleft project of JICA Finance BD in early 2014. But, having a dream of being an academician, it’s time to finally decide to navigate his signal of career to be a university faculty as a childhood passion and started his reverie career as a lecturer in the Department of Leather Engineering since 1st December 2014 with the enthuse of increasing his research knowledge & to contribute to the education system and overall prosperity for the Leather and Leather Products Industry of 911±¬ÁÏ. Concurrently, he also pursued his Master of Science (M. Sc.) in Leather Engineering from Khulna University of Engineering & Technology (KUET).
His message for the mentees: “To explore diverse knowledge before becoming a specialist in any field. No matter how diverse someone is, at one-point s/he will be forced to be a specialist as the realm of knowledge is unbounded with a limitless rate of increase.”.
Mr. Naimul’s research focuses on mathematical modeling, optimization, and soft computing to solve complex decision-making problems. His investigation arena skews toward supply chain management, occupational health and safety, human factors and ergonomics, biomechanics, sportswear's moisture transport mechanism, microclimate of foot devices, fiber science, solid waste management, composites, fashion and circular economy. Mr. Naimul's capstone research focuses on a few decisive aspects of advanced engineering that cobwebs to develop leather, leather products, and allied industries for community well-being.
"Analysis of Foot Ether Ventilation from Microclimate to Atmosphere through Processed Shoe Upper Leather" at the 1st seminar on "Exploring the Leather Sector: "Future Scopes, Employment Opportunities, and Shortcomings" organized by the Leather Engineering Department, KUET.
