Master of Science in Industrial Engineering & Management Program

The following are the requirements for the Master of Science in Industrial Engineering & Management, abbreviated as M. Sc. Eng. (IEM) degree:

• A student must obtain a minimum CGPA of 2.65 in his/her coursework.
• A student must complete a minimum of 36 credit hours, of which 18 credit hours shall be assigned to a thesis or 09 credit hours for a project.
• In addition to the successful completion of coursework, every student shall have to submit a thesis on their research work or a dissertation on their project work, as applicable, fulfilling the requirements as detailed in Art. No. 9 of the Academic Ordinance for Post-Graduate Studies.

Doctor of Philosophy in Industrial Engineering & Management Program

The following are the requirements for the Doctor of Philosophy in Industrial Engineering & Management, abbreviated as Ph.D. (IEM) degree:

• A student must obtain a minimum CGPA of 2.65 in his/her coursework.
• A student must complete a minimum of 60 credit hours, of which 45 credit hours shall be assigned to a thesis.
• He/she must pass the Comprehensive Examination. This examination shall comprise a written and/or an oral examination to test the student's knowledge in his/her field of study and research. The Comprehensive Examination will ordinarily be held after the student completes the coursework. The Doctoral Scrutiny Committee, upon the supervisor's request, will fix the date and time and will conduct the examination.
• In addition to the successful completion of coursework and the Comprehensive Examination, every student must submit a thesis/dissertation on his/her research work, fulfilling the requirements as detailed in Art. No. 9 of the Academic Ordinance for Post-Graduate Studies.
